The discarded children: the creation of a class of misfits amongst the poor in brazilian schools. A case study of first grade
Abstract
Três aspectos são destacados quanto ao fenômeno da evasão e repetência: 1) de que tal fenômeno se constituiria numa das formas de discriminação social, sendo dessas a mais radical; 2) de que o fracasso é construído dentro da escola, durante o ano letivo, sendo por isso apenas a eclosão de um processo desencadeado desde a entrada do aluno no primeiro dia de aula, e, 3) de que por mais que se tenha conhecimento desse fenômeno, pouco se sabe sobre a maneira como a criança o enfrenta, ou seja, as reações individuais ou grupais à discriminação.Downloads
